  • A memo to little:

    Dear 4 pound baby,
This is getting wierd. Not only is this pregnancy causing me to store fat in all sorts of fun places, ::shoulders, tops of knees, etc:: You are punching me in geographic areas I don’t even let your daddy near, all while finding great joy in drop kicking my bladder. Please stop or I will consult the jalepenos.
    Love,
    Mom

  • Day 16

    Day 16

Thankful for my little people. They are the best gift I have ever been given. What a priviledge it is to be their mommy. (most of the time).  I am even thankful for the revelation that with them I am a hot mess, and with out them, I am an even hotter mess. They are my humble pie, and they have taught me the invaluable lesson that as together as I may think I have it, we are only 2 temper tantrums away from dropping them off  at a fire station and surrendering to unfit parenthood.  I love lil Stink and Weeman more than any blog post could ever let on-they are my fountain of joy!

  • Day 15

Thankful for my job/ career. I wear 2 hats: Mom and employee. I could not be more blessed with a better job, (or boss), and love that I have a boss who cares about my kids, and allows me so much flexibility. I enjoy going to work, and love the people I share an office with. God is good!!!

  • Day 14

I am thankful for our church. I luuuuuurve my church. Compass has been so much more than anything words can describe. I have found a family, and great friends. Most of all God has used Pastor Mike to help me understand the Bible in such an incredible way. Through God’s grace, I have totally fallen in love with God’s Word and am thankful to be so well fed and growing.  Thankful for my salvation, and thankful for friends who aren’t afraid to sharpen my iron;)

  • Day 13

    Day 13

This day I get to gush about our bomb diggity parentals. They get extra points as they have seen the worst and still they love me. Chad and I are both only children…and while we always wished for a sibling to share life with, God gave us so much more in rich relationships with our parents.  They are both the most loving, generous, sacrificial, and encouraging people you could have ever asked for. We love spending time with our mamma’s and papa’s. These kids don’t have any idea how good they have it with God’s gift of grandparents. PATIENCE abounds, they don’t flip out when the squirts break a glass, or pour grape juice on their top dollar white carpet, they are always game to change a diaper, or give crankball, (me), a nap. What would we do without our Nonni/ Poppi, Nanny/ Papa? In the words of Randolph-“don’t even try honey dear.”  I am so deeply grateful for the cherished bonds we share.
