    North Carolina

I got nothing but love for that place and the people.  I seriously threw a look back behind me as people were talking to me. You know when you think “why is this person being so nice to me?” and realize they are really talking to their best friend that is 19 degrees behind you? Yah, it was like that, only they were talking to me. Just good people.
And of course the best peeps were the ones I actually went there for;) We had a great time together. L-boogs is entirely too funny for his own good. This kid catches FLIES. I kid you not. He is awesome. 2 years old and he knows what he wants. Baby Connor was a snuggle bun. I wanted to pack him in my bag. But I am not lactating so that wouldn’t have worked out for either of us. (thus he stayed, I am not really a baby snatcher.) Onto the pics:

He is thrilled his Auntie is taking up his Mommies weekend.

I have never seen a love for short grass like Jeremy has for his 10 acres. He does this EVERY TWO days. Lets look at what he has to conquer since their property is the size of my neighborhood.

    This one stole my heart.

This made me jealous of a 2 year old. I WANT A SWING!!
Had to snap a pic of these for my munchkins. Finding green tractors made me a hometown hero in this house.
The name of her adjacent community….About as cool as a name gets.
     The front side
     Ahhh sweet baby!
The biggest monster dog dump. They are everywhere. I swear it was a 12 inch steaming heap. You are welcome.

Ash-I miss you long time. Already. Love you girl. The end;)
  • Going on a jetplane…

to see my bestie-Ash. In the beautiful North Carolina. FOR THE FIRST TIME since she moved out there about 4 years ago. What an amazing friend I am. 4 years. Oh well. Ash understands as I have been pregnant, nursing or just beyond busy (think hamster on a wheel). Oh wait, and now I am pregnant and coming to visit.  I am possibly more excited at the thought of 5 hours of not needing to do one thing, other than pound as many free peanuts or pretzels as the flight allows. What do they serve now adays anyway?  I am actually most excited to see her newest nugget, Connor. He is 5 weeks old and just as cute as Landon, her other nugget.
I am so enchanted with the idea of this trip I am getting sweaty palms as I realize I have to account for every minute of this solitary confinement. I need to plan my free time. Did you hear that? Does anyone else see what is wrong with this? Me, Michelle, is feeling a need to plan.  I am telling you pregnancy makes you all bananas and stuff. As long as I don’t pick up crocheting, no need to call the po-po. I did pack about 6 books. I have started them all, and in true Michelle fashion, not finished one of them. It has been well over a year. I know: grow up and finish something. Anything.
This is my first 4 day trip with no kids, no husband. Strangely…I am going feel nekkid without my men. 4 days, I can do it. Right? As long as I don’t have to sit next to a stage 5 yapper, it will be gravy.
    Happy almost weekend!

  • Good friends

always know how to cheer you up. My sweet and thoughtful friend Kayte sent me this….

    How cute is he? Seriously?!

    Weeman & Mommy’s trip

We have decided this year is the year to visit friends. Since almost EVERYONE we love has moved away.  We love our Katye, Rossman and Baby Cole.  And we MISS them. The trip commenced with a redeye and thanks to Jet Blue I had first hand knowledge of the major Japan earthquake. After watching the headline, “Tsunami to reach pacific coast at 7 am”, for 5 hours you can imagine my anxiety when I landed with no battery in the phone. Doh.
Memo to self: turn phone off when in plane.

     Busta move

     Oh look, another camera….
    Cole, Look at the monkey!
     Score!
     Weeman making a move

     They luuurve eachother. Too cute.

     Love the amazing photography Michelle.
     Blurry is the new black.

They were too cute walking up the 3 MILE hill.
Can’t wait to go back! Traveling with W was cake. What a sweet time that was-and I hope to never forget how loving Cole was. SO many kisses…you can’t teach kids that. There are few friends you can be your 100% self around and they will still actually like you…K & R are those peeps. It is so nice to be able to go through life with God-sent friendships. I love you guys!
  • Sisters.

Born an only child, I will admit to longing for a sister growing up. I used to ask my mom every month if she was pregnant. (I am sure she really appreciated that). So I guess you can argue it was a mini obsession. Well, the most beautiful thing about belonging to a church body is having sweet sisters in Christ.  I am so very thankful for each of my “sisters”. Having these precious women around to encourage, support, admonish and love on each other has totally changed my life. I get what my sweet Nanny always would tell me as a little girl-“living for God, you will never regret it”. God is clear that our reward is in Heaven, but in the mean time, I am so thankful for the people He has so perfectly placed in my life.
